A Watch Shelf is just that - a shelf on which to store/display one's watch/watches!
We have been collecting, enjoying and trading watches for almost a decade. We have now decided to set up our own website through which to continue our hobby of enjoying and trading watches.
We are passionate about watches and watch collecting and we believe we have something unique to offer the watch buyer - attainable, top quality and reasonably priced vintage watches and associated services. For the price of a very average fashion watch you could instead be sporting a beautiful, hand crafted vintage timepiece.
Please however remember that, by their very nature, vintage watches have been previously owned, worn and enjoyed. They are not brand new and they won't be in brand new condition, so please bear this in mind when purchasing - they will show signs of wear and prior use. We do our best to accurately photograph and describe our watches in order to mitigate any potential disappointment from the buyer so please do take the time to closely review the details and images prior to committing to purchase. If for any reason you are not happy when your watch arrives or feel it is not 'as described' we will of course offer to return the item.
Remember that with vintage watches, unless specifically stated, water resistance cannot be guaranteed and although all our watches are sold in working condition we would always recommend (whether you buy a watch from us or elsewhere) factoring in to vintage watch ownership the cost of a service in the future unless they have been serviced prior to sale or the recent service history is known.
Unless otherwise stated our watches are not all serviced prior to sale as we would then have to pass this cost onto the buyer. Our watches are however tested and confirmed as working. If a watch has been serviced prior to the sale or we know their service history this will be mentioned in the listing.
It is generally recommended that vintage watches are serviced every 5 or so years to maintain good running and accuracy, costs range from £125 for a manual wind watch to £250 for a mechanical chronograph (plus any parts required).
We work with a watch repair partner offering a first class service at reasonable costs, please see our Servicing & Repair page for more details.
Part of our goal is to provide a way for people to sell their vintage watches, with confidence, when they aren't necessarily a Rolex or an Omega! Please see our Sell Your Watch page for more details.
All purchased watches will be shipped within 2 - 3 business days of payment. Watches will be well packaged to avoid any damage in transit. UK shipping will be via Royal Mail Special Delivery or via an arranged courier for higher value watches. For international shipping, please contact us to discuss ahead of committing to purchase a watch from the store.
If for any reason you are not happy when your watch arrives, please use the Contact Us form to reach out to us and we will do our very best to resolve any issues. We respectfully request this is within 7 days of receipt of the watch. Once returned we will inspect the watch to ensure it is in the same condition as when we shipped it to the buyer, and provided that is the case we will process a refund. We regret that we are unable to refund the return postage.
Please remember that we are an independent watch enthusiast embarking on a new and exciting journey to buy and sell watches via our website and to support the watch collecting community. We are not Argos, we do not offer a '30 Day No Quibble Guarantee', however we will of course look to rectify any issues where the watch that arrives with the buyer is not as expected as quickly as possible.
